Hi, I’m Yasmin Ghahremani. I am launching Everyday Dreams with the help of folks just like you who have struggled with depression, anxiety, addiction, grief and deep sadness.

We have been there, and we want to help others feel less alone in their journeys by sharing our experience and inspiration. There is a way through what you’re feeling, and the chance to feel joy and peace on an everyday basis.

My husband’s suicide in 2010 was a crisis that took years to absorb. But once the acute pain had subsided, it was almost worse. I knew it was time to get back to some semblance of a normal life, but at times I felt lost and purposeless. I had to find a way to get out of bed every day.

It has taken work on my part (and a lot of help from family, friends, support groups and professionals), but I do now have hope that I nourish on a regular basis. The most helpful things to me are journaling, human connections, physical exercise, and a daily practice that includes gratitude lists and acknowledgment of what I’ve done well in the past 24 hours.

My years as a journalist and my own personal growth work have put me in touch with others from all walks of life who have powerful stories to tell. I have asked them to help me launch this site by contributing stories about themselves or others. The focus is on how we have come through hard times and what sustains us on a daily basis.

I’d love to hear from you as this site develops. Let me know what you like or dislike, or ideas you have for improvements we can make.

Thanks for stopping by.

Yasmin Ghahremani
